US Supreme Court's Ruling: Tariff Update

Posted by Leigh Cavanaugh on

There have been some updates in the international tariff landscape between Canada and the United States, but we have broken it all down for you.

What has changed?

On Friday, February 20th, the US Supreme Court ruled the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs that were implemented back on August 29th, 2025 as "illegal". As a result, these tariffs are set to no longer be collected by any agency as of February 24th, 2026. However, a new executive order was then signed also on February 20th that introduced a new, global tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act. This is currently a 10% tariff, but that may change.

All this to say that there are still tariffs, but a different kind.

Will this impact my Clionadh order?

No. Thankfully, these legislative changes will not impact any current or future Clionadh orders heading into the US. Our customers will continue to not pay any additional tariffs upon delivery, as our products remain CUSMA-exempt even under this new tariff. You will only pay the single shipping fee at checkout on our website.

Our team continues to monitor for update, if any further changes arise we will keep you informed here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Care Team.
