(Another) US Tariff Update 🇺🇸

As of early Saturday, August 22nd, the 3-day pause on the Section 338 tariff (which adds a 50% tariff on a broad selection of Canadian goods) ended and the tariff came into effect. We are saddened that our political leaders were not able to reach a fair consensus for both countries, especially knowing how much this ongoing trade war is hurting small businesses on both sides of the border.

However, there is a small silver lining.

While this new tariff applies to our nail polish products, it does not apply to our shadow products (both singles and palettes). Our shadows are not part of the list that are tariffed under Section 338 and will continue to be shipped to the US tariff-free because of this. We have removed all nail polish products from our US catalogue for the time being, and our American customers can rest easy and shop our shadows, empty palettes and other products on our website and continue to pay no fees upon delivery through Chit Chats.

We are working with Shopify and our shipping partners to find an alternate solution where we can ship nail polish without hefty fees, but this is where we are currently at. Once we know more we will be sure to share it here and on social media.
