Canada Post Back on Strike, Services Temporarily Suspended
Posted by Leigh Cavanaugh on
Late on Thursday, September 25th, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) representing Canada Post workers, without warning, launched a national strike that was effective immediately. As a result, all Canada Post shipping services have been ceased and the services temporarily suspended from our website. FedEx and DHL shipping options remain as available alternatives and we are working on having additional services in place as well.
Any order that is in Canada Post's hands is secured within their mailing system and will resume movement once the strike has ended. Our team will be reaching out to anyone impacted by this directly. Any orders that were set to ship with Canada Post will be switch to an alternate service.
Similar to what happened last November and December, the volume of parcels typically handled by Canada Post will overflow onto other couriers. This likely will result in pick-up and processing delays prior and during transit.
Our team is doing their best to navigate this new development on top of the US tariff changes. As more updates become available, we will continue to update this post and the Shop Updates page.
At this time we do not know how long this strike and suspension will be in place. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Care Team.

Updates
- October 14th: As of Saturday, October 11th CUPW switched from a nationwide strike to rotating strikes, which means packages have begun moving through Canada Post's system once again. If you haven't seen movement in your package yet, you should soon, but please continue to expect delays, particularly as workers make their way through the backlog from the last three weeks of service suspension.
